"Last study was “off”. What makes this one correct?"

Science™. It's self-correcting, don't you know.

"The effects of human-prompted climate change are varied and unpredictable ..."

English Translation: Even though all of our predictions have been wrong so far, this time when we predict doomsday you should listen because it could happen.

I saw something the other night that happened to explain why life was so much larger during the reign of dinosaurs. They showed a dragon fly like insect that looked to have a wing span of about 4’. It was yuge!

I missed part of it, but the part I caught said that one of the reason animals were so much larger back then was because the oxygen content of the earth’s atmosphere was higher (theory). I’ve also heard and seen debunked the idea that earths gravity may have been different back then. The earth was covered in vegetation and the average temperature of the earth was higher.

I believe the oxygen content could have been higher. And I believe the planet was much warmer. I also believe there was more plant life to produce more oxygen. So does a warmer planet make for more plant life and more oxygen and a healthier brood of life on the planet?

I say, “Go Warming!”

The latest NOAA prediction I saw was that the oceans will rising 2mm/yr for the next millennium.

6' = 1828.8mm. For the oceans to rise that much would take over 900 years.

.
Sea level continues to fall,as it has since 1987.

(that is when the Feds quit officially measuring it)

Remember when they said we were going through an ice age, which turned into global warming when that flopped. The earth has been going in and out of heat and cold since it was born. The sun causes both. When it decides to heat up, the earth follows suit. When it decides to cool, the earth follows suit. Not all that complicated.

Could. It could rise five feet. Or ten. Just like minimum wage. It could go down too. It will probably go up about 3 centimeters in the next 99 years and the rest in the last year.

I just checked. The Sea Level is exactly 29,029 feet below the top of Mt. Everest. Same as it has been since the difference was first measured correctly.

I was listening to a podcast just a couple of days ago on BBC Radio 4 - “In Our Time: History” and the episode I was listening to was entitled “Ice Ages.” During the last minute and thirty seconds of that episode, one of the commentators stated that the earth’s natural state is a “green house” - in other words, no ice at either pole. He further said that during 85% of the earth’s history there has been no ice at the poles. Even if he’s wildly off in his estimate, it still shows that “anthropogenic global warming” is horse crap.

Complete idiots writing nonsense. "..Using what scientists already know about previous sea level spikes dating back some 10,000 years or so, they were able to make some educated assumptions about how arctic ice will likely behave as the planet gets warmer. ..." OK if this had said Antarctic, I might have said maybe. However, the vast majority of the Arctic ice cap is "floating ice." If you put an ice cube in a full glass of water and the ice meals, the glass doesn't overflow. Ice that floats, floats because it displaces the weight of the water under the water surface of the iceberg. To Raise the sea level 6 feet is a huge quantity of water. The arctic ice on Greenland, some Canadian islands and Russian islands doesn't have the volume.

The effects of human-prompted climate change are varied and unpredictable ...

... But we're going to predict doom and gloom anyway.

Gotta help me here! 6 feet of ocean rise is how much snow and ice melting? I estimate that there would have to be at least 30 feet of snow and ice covering the entire land mass and it would have to all melt and turn to water for this to happen.

Most of the land mass has people on it, and no snow or ice. A small portion of the land mass is covered with snow or ice. I don’t know how much. I don’t know how to calculate this. Any physicists reading this? mathematicians?

Hmmm...Where does all that water come from?

Maybe it's those dang Emirates island builders going too far and pushing the water up on us...
