Daily tidal change is 10-20 feet. Storm surges can be another 10+ feet on top of that.

If you’re currently close enough to the ocean that an additional 6 ft would be devastating, you’re already facing devastation.

At the article’s fearful maximum of 0.75” rise per year, you’ve got time to do something about it. More likely you’re going to get washed away by simple erosion first.

Google “The Broomway”. It’s a “path” in Britain that is underwater at times because of the tides. It has been used by the locals for 600 years. Seems that sea level is pretty consistent.
