ANN ARBOR, MI - There are still a few tickets left for Hillary Clinton's book tour stop in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
The event starts at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the University of Michigan's Hill Auditorium, 825 N. University Ave., in Ann Arbor. Clinton is in the midst of a tour that takes her across the U.S. and into Canada to promote her book, "What Happened," which reflects on the 2016 presidential election.
Remaining tickets available through Ticketmaster are going for about $300 a seat. StubHub has tickets for as low as $30 for a balcony seat.(snip)
Janine Easter, who helped start the Ann Arbor chapter of Clinton's national fan club in 1994, said she is looking forward to hearing Clinton speak on Tuesday and getting a signed copy of her book.
The Ann Arbor chapter of the fan club - which was once the largest in the world - has mostly disbanded since the November election, Easter said, but several members are planning to get dinner together Tuesday and then go to the book event, sporting Hillary T-shirts.
"We'll be together and we'll thank her for her service to the country and wish her a happy birthday," Easter said. "I hope to hear her talk about her recovery after this kind of tragedy of an election. I hope she will be positive. ... She bounces back and I'm sure she will continue to help women run for office and encourage women all over the world to educate their daughters to be leaders in their countries. That is what I admire her for."
