People who have narcissistic personality disorder can put on a very convincing façade of being extremely nice, compassionate people. However, when they are in the company of people they know and with whom they feel comfortable, all h___ breaks loose. That’s when their desire to control and manipulate everything surfaces. Their volatile, violent temper usually surfaces a short time later when those around them refuse to be controlled or manipulated.

I know this from personal experience.
