Transgenderism is a mental disorder, and should be treated as such.
Has any physician - who believes that it’s ethical to assist these people to ‘transition’ through surgery, hormonal treatment, &c - expounded upon how this is any different from BIID (body integrity identity disorder), which is generally treated as a psychiatric disease?
Would these same doctors be willing to amputate an arm or leg - or blind a person - if the patient found a limb, or normal sight, to be ‘alien’ to their subjective ‘identity’?
