Harvey Weinstein sobbed and pleaded, “I’m not that guy. I’m not that guy,” to an assistant after the first bombshell article on the movie mogul’s sexual harassment allegations came out, according to a new report.

But his employees were the ones weeping when a second huge story came out days later — containing rape accusations and audio of Weinstein admitting to groping a model — as they realized they may have unwittingly enabled the predatory producer, the New Yorker reports.

“People were having a wave of retroactive memories,” an unnamed staffer tells the magazine. “Some of the stories were within the time frame of people who still worked there.”

Setting aside the despicable behavior of Weinstein, who finds it shocking that a news source would characterize him as “blubbering”?

I have to say, although I don't make any excuses for Weinstein, I find it very distasteful that so many who profited from him and kept their mouths shut, including the Clintons, are now acting so ‘holier than thou’ regarding him. I'm sure most knew who he is and what his actions were, but they didn't care - as long as they were getting something out of their relationship with him. The hypocrisy is astounding. In my opinion, Hollywood, the media, and the political left have been forced to do damage control once the Weinstein stories came out, and they decided the best course of action was to turn on Weinstein in order to save their own reputations and preserve their agenda.

What they are doing is self-serving, and they've decided Weinstein is expendable. Further, they've made the assessment that he can't retaliate against them if they turn on him - so they finally have. They should not be allowed to wiggle out of any responsibility in this. They turned a blind eye to Weinstein’s actions, just like they turned a blind eye to Clinton's actions. They lack honor.

Right about now, the idea of elites doing hard time isn’t something the elites want to get the ball rolling on.

I think that President Trump has signalled that the calm before the storm is over.

Hollywood, the MSM and the “Governing Class” that former President Bush refered to today when he went to bat for globalism over patriotism, are all about too see if they can weather the storm, and they are all so intertwined that only a storm that blows all three over at once can knock them out.

President Trump has worked amongst the Hollywood crowd, dealt with the media almost his whole adult life and has seen what it takes to get things done when dealing with politicians eager for $upport.

I’m betting old Harvey is going to be a small part of a much larger story, and for evermore in history, he’ll be “That guy”, the old lech, who the storm hit first.
