Austin Rogers was my favorite of all time. The night he lost, the winner was a woman from Tennessee and one double jeopardy category was Dolly Parton which she ran and that was basically the game. I swear the show is frequently fixed for a preferred outcome. I predicted the Navy O3 pilot’s win when the other each had $13,500 going to final jeopary. My wife said no way and then I was right. We didn’t watch last night since the Yankees game was on.

Last night, the Navy guy did what my husband and I refer to as ‘doing a Cliffy’ (if you watched the Cheers Jeopardy episode, you will understand the reference). The woman who got the Final question right, didn’t bet enough to beat him, but he made a HUGE bet and lost. We were sorry he lost; he had had a great reaction the night before when he won with only $1. And I agree, Austin Rogers was having more fun than any contestant we had seen before. I did wonder though if he intentionally lost as (maybe) he wanted to be in the upcoming Tournament of Champoins, rather than winning more games and having to wait a year for the next Tournament.
