I don’t think I have ever seen this happen. We record Jeopardy every day and always challenge each other with the answers. It’s all in good fun. I HAVE seen all three contestants end up with no money and they just pick three new people for the next game. Alex and the contestants were all laughing at the outcome yesterday!

I can’t recall that happening but according to Trebek, it has been a long time which means it has happened.

He lost today by making a really stupid bet.

I still can’t understand why Manny, the Navy guy, bet anything at all in final jeopardy. The other two contestants were tied so each had to bet it all. If they both got it wrong he was guaranteed the win. Lost $999 for no reason

I recall one Jeopardy! episode where all three contestants were in the hole at the end of final jeopardy, so there was no winner, they started with three fresh new contestants the next day.

Mrs. jaz and I sometimes watch Jeopardy when eating dinner.

We saw it and I had said the Navy guy is out to lunch. She said he could still win if both of them in the lead bet all their money and he didn’t and they all are wrong.

I laughed and said the odds would be like him winning the lottery or Mega Bucks.

WELL, when it happened we had quite a laugh and I’m going to be quiet in those situations from now on. LOL!

I quit watching Jeopardy when they had that crazy black woman from MSNBC (the one who wore tampons for earrings one time on her show) on for the celebrity show. Her and Alex had a nice conversation about her support of the occupy movement and lesbian and gay issues. I changed the channel and I haven’t watched it again.

He gets to play in the next show, right? So that dollar could go a long ways.

His strategy wasn’t bad if he was comfortable with the category. If he thinks he has more than a 50 percent chance of knowing the right answer, he bet enough to maximize his potential winnings while leaving him the out of still winning if everyone else got it wrong.

My nephew is Manny, the Navy guy. I don’t have a TV so don’t watch Jeopardy. Please explain, since Manny won with $1 will he be back on the show again.

The whole family is proud of Manny. His father worked for the State Department and Manny has lived all over the world. He’s a graduate of the Naval Academy, real sharp young man.

I don’t know why Manny said Iraq, instead of Iran. Even I know the Caspian Sea borders Russia so Iraq would be too far to the west.

Paradoxically, the two “losers” with their $2000 and $1000 wins for second and third place “beat” the “winner” with his $1 win.
