I have noticed this too...in particular, the most common denomination of money in poor areas seems to be $100 bill. "I need groceries - can you loan me $100", etc. No wonder the money flies away.

I've also known very wealthy people who try to negotiate down even the most minor of purchases, protests a ten dollar vehicle tax, etc...all the millionaires I know are very tight with their money.

I was the bar manager at a country club. Started out as a bartender. We had tips added onto our checks and the members knew it. I used to tell people they’d break a fingernail picking a penny up off the bar. lol
