I can attest otherwise. I worked in a majority women field for a few years and the level of emotion was off the charts while intent was assigned to every misspoken word. Despite some distinctly “locker room” banter, humor without rancor was rare, and freedom of speech all but extinct.
The insouciance that characterizes a masculine workplace is anathema to the liberal female. The harpy who penned this screed typifies too many in the workplace today. They really don’t want in the old boy’s club; they want to destroy any vestige of masculine freedom.
Thank God for real women who don’t find offense at every opportunity and readily forgive offenses that don’t reach the level of personal harm. While most men have limited a emotional skillset, we treasure those rare jewels who do (like all the wonderful women here—lol).
There’s plenty of blame to go around both sides and people today are way to easily offended, like the author of this piece.
That said, even if women are not easily offended, there are too many men who don’t know when to put a lid on it and think that women secretly enjoy their advances and course talk.
We don’t.
I’ve met my share of men who just don’t know when to stop and it’s not fun nor appreciated.
However, most FR men are gentlemen and we real women, who appreciate masculinity, recognize and appreciate them as well.
