FULL TITLE: Monday Night Football ratings hit season low as NFL owners meet in New York to address ongoing controversy surrounding players protesting during the national anthem
The Tennessee Titans won their Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday, but the real losers may be ESPN and the NFL, which suffered through the lowest-rated 'Monday Night Football' game of the season.
MNF, which is broadcast by ESPN, had been losing viewers throughout the season, but Monday’s 6.1 rating in metered markets was its lowest of the 2017 season, according toDeadline.com. (In other words: 6.1 percent of households in metered markets watched the game on Monday).
That’s a 13 percent dip from the October 9 game, which benefited from a competitive matchup between the rival Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings as well as a slight halftime bump during which the new Star Wars movie’s trailer premiered.

smart move. you thereby avoided having to watch the Donks DELIBERATELY throw the game against the pathetic Giants this past Sunday. unbelievable. dropped passes, interceptions, muffed punts, fumbles, zero defense, zero offensive line play, zero running game. the stands were literally empty well before the end of the game. people didn’t even bother to stay to the end to boo them.

...and we’re all now seeing why. If they all came out with confederate flags and MAGA hats, they would have found similar results. Hard to believe these uber-rich people cannot figure that out.
The NFL are boys who wish they were men.
The situation for the networks is even worse than the reported ratings decline. And the owners are really stuck. This is not going to work out well for them no matter what they do.
And, a blind man could have seen this coming. If Kapernick had been suspended the first time he pulled the stunt, this could have been nipped in the bud.
