young people are going to have a difficult time ever learning about what this country once was

We were talking last night about a tv actor who looked like Fredrick Douglas and that few today would know his name much less what he looked like. Sad, especially since they think they are so smart and know everything.

Here in Lexington, Kentucky, a brand new school named Frederick Douglass High School just opened last August, about four miles from my house. Nevertheless, we still have to educate folks on who our buildings are named after. We also have a Henry Clay High School, since this is Mr. Clay’s home town, and I have to constantly tell people, even local residents, who he was.

IMHO I think the longer some kids stay in school the dumber they get.
