If you watched the Philadelphia Eagles 28-23 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football last night you would have seen the home turf team’s Luke Kuechly exit the game in the second quarter due to a possible concussion. However, despite a potential move by the NFL to disallow protest by players during the national anthem, one thing you would have not seen on TNF on CBS and the NFL Network last night was the playing of the national anthem.

I agree that not showing the anthem is worse. The only antidote for the NFL at this point is conspicuous patriotism.

The Steelers are the worst cowards. Here in PA, where they had a marvelous fan base, many are turning against them. The VFW and American Legion halls are refusing to show their games on TV. The boycott is ongoing.
Now that the Eagles are 5-1, sounds like the Cowboys told the NFL that it’s ok for Ezekiel Elliott to start serving his suspension, since they aren’t going to make the playoffs anyway.

Notice before EVERY international match, they play the anthems, and all the players are standing and singing along.
The preachers that gathered outside the stadium, taking a knee and throwing up the Black Power fist, should have their churches’s tax-free status removed. I hope a Trump admin person or an IRS agent was there writing down the preachers’s names.
Fans should applaud those players who kneel for paying homage to their perceived slavemasters.
Problem solving involves identifying the problem, then solving that problem What's the solution? Don't draft ANYONE who has a drug or criminal conviction in their past. And once they're in the NFL, a no-strike policy would be excellent. Get convicted of a crime or of drug use, and they're GONE. No second chances.

The pre-game ceremonies of soccer are fine. It’s just the game itself that is so boring. And the continuous droning crowd noise on the TV is probably worse than those poor State Department spookocrats had to endure in Havana.

So if the media doesn’t show the players kneeling how is the protest helping the players? Don’t you have to have media exposure to bring attention to your cause?

They seem to think that by not showing what we all know exists, they can appease us - seeing is believing and pretending that the anti-American ass-hats aren’t what they are ain’t gonna do it for them.
Pro football is a game played by, mainly, men of low character. Baseball and hockey would not put up with this many head cases, count on it.
“Suppose they all stand now?” Well, since Izvetsia won’t allow the public to see what the players do, re the National Anthem, we can only assume that some of them kneel, some stand with arms interlocked, a few wave clenched fists and a few brandish their middle fingers. And we, the patriotic Joe Everymans, will increasingly eschew them and their game, IN DROVES!
