Great topic for us car guys. Keeping this response strictly to fun with THE CAR, I would have to say it was 8 years ago when I was a newly minted GC for a private company in Arizona. One day the owners told me the company wanted to buy me a car, “maybe one of those things with the rings on the front.” So, I located an off-lease Audi A-8L with a 4.2 v8 in Los Angeles. Flew in one morning, did the paperwork, and drove out before the 3:30 traffic jam. I spent the evening cruising I-10 through the Mohave and Sonoran deserts with a big smile on my face, listening to some cool tunes on Sirius and doing about 110 mph with the sunroof and windows open, looking at the starts, and thinking “How in the world did this happen to me?” I loved that car. As the months wore on I drove it all over that beautiful state, and loved every minute of it— the power, the stable ride at high speed, the incredible interior, all of it! My wife did too. But all good things come to an end.
I tip my cap to you. Good show, sir. Good show.
