Deri Rogers-Wood, 27, and husband Ben, 30, tied the knot at a big white wedding with 10 bridesmaids by their side

A happy couple have welcomed a bouncing baby boy - thanks to their chief bridesmaid being the surrogate mum.

Deri Rogers-Wood, 27, and husband Ben, 30, tied the knot at a big white wedding with 10 bridesmaids by their side.

But it was chief bridesmaid Sadie Cox, 40, who made the incredible wedding gift - to be birth mother to the couple's future baby.

And now, two years later, she has given birth to a boy named Lotan Blue Phallon Rogers-Wood, weighing 8lb 3oz.

Deri said: "It was a very long birth but Sadie was amazing. It lasted two days.

"Sadie flew through the pregnancy. She said it was the best pregnancy she's had.

"We are so happy and it is the best feeling in the world knowing that our baby is here.

"I kept everyone updated about the birth and we have had so many lovely comments from people."

Sadie already has four children but wanted to help longtime pals Deri and Ben have their first child together.

Little Lotan was conceived using Ben's sperm and a donor egg in a £7,000 procedure at a private clinic.

Pub manager Deri said: "Sadie was adopted herself and she says she knows what it's like to be brought into a loving family.

"I've known her for over ten years and she even introduced me and Ben back in 2013."

The process to prepare Sadie's body for the pregnancy took a year.

She had to boost her oestrogen levels with tablets and had nightly hormone injections before the embryo was implanted in January.

Woman becomes mother to her own grandchild after acting as a surrogate for her cancer survivor daughter But she fell pregnant straight away and finally gave birth to Lotan - who has a full head of dark hair - on October 3 at hospital in Newport.

Sadie, of Cwmbran, Gwent, said: "I knew I wanted to do this ever since Deri and Ben got together and I know they will be the best parents.

"I can't wait to be in this little boy's life as a friend of the family and I am so proud to have been a part of this. He is going to be very loved."

Ben and Deri chose 10 pals plus Sadie as bridesmaids to make their big day a truly white wedding – inviting each of them to wear their favourite dress.

Deri – who already has son Maccaulay, nine, from a previous relationship – said: "I figured every wedding needs a wedding dress – so why not 10?"

Both men were there for the birth as Sadie gave them the gift of a lifetime.

Giving thanks to Sadie, Ben added: "Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity because without you this may have never happened.

"I can't thank you enough now we're home. Love you to the moon and back."

What’s with the colors? WHITE wedding and “blue” in the name? I didn’t have a clue about the couple until I got to the post of the picture.. Couldn’t help but wonder why the surrogate thought when “they first got together” that they would need help in having a child. Even with all the junk we see/hear today, I did not think of the logical answer or NOT SO LOGICAL....

While I was reading I wondered why they would have to use another woman's egg.

Then I saw the picture.

What the hell?

Not impressed.

Lucky for Lotan, he’s not likely to make it to the Marine Corps with his parental situation being what it is.....

She allowed herself to be used as a brood-sow by a pair of filthy, disease-ridden queers.

True and indisputable.

But to carry a baby to term for the sole purpose of furnishing a possession to a gay couple without thought of that baby’s right to a Mom & Dad and normal role models demonstrates a coldness and vindictiveness that I find more chilling than any other aspect of this situation.

I think she is not in a normal husband/wife relationship herself and is using the child to prove something to herself about this “Brave, New World” she wants to pretend exists.

I think we're looking at the same problem from different angles.

without thought of that baby’s right to a Mom & Dad and normal role models demonstrates a coldness and vindictiveness

There would also seem to be a contempt for her own womanhood or even her own humanity. She did not conceive by natural intercourse with the child's father, and the child is not even hers ... she's just a rent-a-womb. There's a certain veterinary aspect to the whole thing.

On the other hand maybe she is just deluded. May God have mercy on her soul and on this baby.

No wonder the wife could not become pregnant. There is something seriously amiss with her hormone levels. Oh wait. Ewww, what idjits. Poor baby.

There is so much evil in this story, I don’t even know where to begin.
