Football has been really important in my family, for 25 years it's been the big event that brings us all together to watch games in the fall. My 85 year old mother looks forward to that in a big way and I could never tell her "no, I'm mad at the protesters so I won't watch the game with you". To those who choose to boycott the NFL, I get it and wish you well. I watch one game a week .. only one ... and I will as long as my mom is alive. So thanks for taking the heat and keeping the weekly post alive.
So some picks:
- Eagles on a short week in Carolina, my heart says my Birds win it but my head says they are due to slip.
- Baltimore tears up the Bears.
- Cleveland? Are they still in the NFL? Well, they lose again. Nice work trading that pick for Carson Wentz, Browns, how's that working out for you?
- Detroit's on a roll, they take out the hapless Saints.
- Green Bay is not going to lose to whoever the 3rd string QB is in Minessota.
- Miami lost a coach to stupidity this week, Jay Cutler was asked about it and said "Whatever". Which is all he ever has to say. Miami loses.
- New England loses to the Jets because I wish it to be so.
- Washington spanks the 49ers.
- The Rams come back to earth and get abused by the JAX defense. In an offensive showdown JAX wins it 5-4.
- Arizona is brutal and the Bucs are ticked off at losing on the last play to the Pats. They make up for it with a win this week.
- Chargers are doomed. They got their one win for the year, they go back to their losing ways in Oakland. Karma!
- Pittsburgh is struggling ever since Tomlin humiliated one of their players publicly (karma!) and I don't see a trip to KC as a recipe to right the ship. KC takes a close one.
- Eli Manning completes two touchdowns to himself because there isn't anyone else to throw it to. But the Giants still lose to Denver in a blow out.
- Tenessee gets the win on MNF because ... I don't know, Indy just isnt good especially without Luck.
Thats my take.
