I have known people with complaints related to blood pressure and heart rate who went to Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors who gave them herbs and acupuncture, and it resolved complaints that doctors told them would be with them the rest of their lives. I mean that in a few months they are as good as new with no medications or further care.

If you were my relative, I would tell you to see the western doc first, and get squared away according to western medicine. Then seek out an older TCM doc who provides herbs and acupuncture, and who was trained in China preferably, and have him try to massage your system while the western doc keeps an eye on you.

TCM uses more primitive tools than modern medicine, but they have been accumulating and using them for thousands of years and conscientiously perfecting the art, so the final product is much more nuanced than modern medicine which simply attacks everything with a jackhammer to get immediate results.

Your mileage may very but the people I know who use it swear by it, and view it like a secret weapon in health.

I had high blood pressure and tried everything for years to cure it naturally. I quit taking my blood pressure medicine. Finally found success with organic sodium bicarbonate. You can buy it on Amazon 5 pounds for $17 free shipping. It made my heartburn go away too.

You are correct. I’ve had great luck with Chinese herbal doctor. Will be seeing him tomorrow. Then lunch of double-cooked pork at The Szechuan Cafe on Payne and 30th. The best!

I concur with Anonymous Conservative’s advice. You can also try to find a physician - MD or DO who practices holistic medicine. They actually do exist! We have one (MD) who will prescribe pharma meds, but uses supplements as the basis for nutritionally supporting the body.

No matter what approach you select, I think it is important to understand thoroughly what we are up against as we age. Darlin’ and I have recently finished reading this book: “Reverse Heart Disease NOW” - by Stephen T. Sinatra, MD and James C. Roberts, MD.

The authors are cardiovascular surgeons who learned that the conventional approach to CURING heart disease with only bypasses, and heavy medications is a losing proposition. They have found means to support the body - especially the heart and circulatory system and give it what it needs to heal. They do not throw out the surgery or the extreme power of using the strong meds for urgent interventions, but they have found the keys to helping people gain better levels of health.

I have family members who are nurses and doctors, and they have taught me much and been patient with my many questions over the years. This book is highly credible and summarizes a lot of truth about information I have seen previously from other researches and sources I have read. We practice many of the tips given in the book.

The process of what actually happens in the body during the degradation into heart disease is described in a way that is easily understandable. The solutions are just as easily understood. It is what I consider to be the “Owners Manual” about heart disease which many of us have been missing.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

Traditional Chinese Medicine, TCM, is better than any other form of medicine as far as I am concerned when it comes to distressing diseases with vague and poorly understood clinical signs and symptoms. BP is a good example and so are any without any clear signs of cause like RA or MS, fibromyalgia, etc.

I love my TCM docs. One time I had an intractable cough. I was exhausted and ached from coughing. My MD doc prescribed codeine elixer which I took and zonked me out. Ridiculous. My TCM gave me some collection of “things” that I took as a hot tea. Not only did I NOT cough, when I cleared my throat, I “coughed” up the mucus that had not been willing to come up. It worked for hours and I had great sleep.

Acupuncture is one of the world’s miracles. Read about it, then when you need help, go to a TCM.
