CNN host John King said Sunday that NFL owners have data supporting President Donald Trump's claim that television ratings have gone down because of players' protests during the national anthem.

"NFL owners so far siding with their players for their right to free speech, but they're also keeping close tabs on the financial impact and the public relations impact of this confrontation," King said.

He went on to say that the NFL owners have research "clearly showing the president is right" when he claims the national anthem protests are one factor in TV ratings dropping.

"Since the president weighed in, the owners are now dealing with a surge in ticket holder requests for refunds," King said.

Damage is done. Puerto Rico will be back up before the NFL is.

For a few moments we were all one.
No more. As the song says, “I Can See Clearly Now”.

Didn't the Ivy League MBA schools teach our elite CEOs that pissing on your customers is a poor business model?

No, the Ivy League teaches that the 1% can do whatever they want, and that there is nothing that the 99% can do about it.

Trump knows Americans because he is one. We really have not had American Presidents since Reagan and Kennedy. All others were deep state operatives.

That's part of the challenge here for NFL owners. The NFL actually has THREE groups of customers, and the fans aren't the biggest ones:

1. TV networks
2. Corporate sponsors
3. Fans

The NFL is learning that it can't keep all three of them happy at the same time.

You know that not all NFL players, coaches, and support staff are in this- they are just being intimidated. Why can’t someone file a complaint about these morons creating a hostile work environment? That is what keeps everyone in line in a regular work place.

...national anthem protests are one factor in TV ratings dropping.

Why, of course. Only one factor. I know a lot of people are staying home with the TV off because of Global Warming and drowning polar bears. Keep whistling in that graveyard, son, and hope that Something isn't whistling back.

Definitely a hostile work environment. There is no way that all players agree with these protests of the American flag and national anthem.

The problem for the NFL owners is that this whole stinking issue got started right at the beginning of the season. Which means that, they still have 12 more games in the regular season to suffer more losses, and the whole playoff season and the super bowl.

Now, if this whole mess had occurred towards the end of the season, they would be going into the off-season claiming success for the “kneelers” and the NFL owners.

Now, there is no way that the NFL owners can claim any kind of success against Trump and the anthem-loving/flag-loving Americans.

Solidarity?

The raised fist is traditionally the communist power symbol and it was adopted by the Black Panthers.

Did anyone see the Mercedes Benz stadium at the start of Falcons-Bills game??

it was 1/3 full

I think NFL owners are getting the message loud and clear.
