I don’t have to check it out,I lived through all of it.
Sure he made mistakes,most presidents do,but Truman’s gutsiness and down-home attitude made people feel comfortable with him.

OK. Let’s agree that he was down home, down to Earth, and a pretty good guy (certainly compared to every other democrat). Let’s agree that he was the Last Great democrat. Let’s also agree that he was the ONLY great democrat.
