Emmy Awards Ratings Hit Low On Trump Bashing Night; ‘Sunday Night Football’ Dips
Deadline Hollywood ^ | September 18, 2017 | Dominic Patten

Posted on 09/18/2017 7:39:28 AM PDT by C19fan

Right near the beginning of the 69th annual Primetime Emmy Awards last night, host Stephen Colbert hauled former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer out on-stage to declared that the CBS broadcast show would have “the largest audience to witness an Emmys, period — both in person and around the world.”

We grew up watching TV every night. Our grandchildren don’t watch it at all.

We would watch family shows like The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. The all American family show is extinct.

Give Liberals enough control, and they will ruin EVERYTHING whether it’s your family, your church, your government, your schools, your entertainment and now, even your sports. What a curse they are!

I could not agree more and think and witness the travesty every single day. Now it's going light speed. What's happening today would even be shocking in the Bill Clinton era.

I love it. Want to see them all wither away.

Thanks to our cable cutting in June, we now have excellent choices to watch and not be insulted by the gays of Follywood and NYC.

Last night, I charcoaled the non vegetarian part of our dinner, a big steak and actually some veggies. My wife prepared a great salad from her garden.

We had some California red and white wines and watched two episodes of Doc Martin on our smart tv streamed by Acorn TV.

We laughed and enjoyed ourselves. We were not insulted by the hostile gays of Follywood/New York City, because we voted for Trump and still support him.

Also, we switched from a combo of Sling Tv to just Blue Sling TV. Sling TV Blue does not carry any ESPN or Disney channels. So we never pay for them as part of the Sling Blue Package.

Zero NFL games this season viewed in this home, and there will be none.

Also, we don’t watch any local news channels nor Faux during the day, evening or before bed.

Stop your subscription to Dish TV, and get an internet that you can stream/

Then, sign up for Dish’s Sling TV Blue for programs.

Sling TV Blue does not carry ESPN nor Disney Channels. So they don’t get a share of your monthly fee like they do now, even if you don’t watch the liberal channels.

Your monthly cost for Sling Blue is $25/month. You get to pocket the savings not the gays in Follywood and NYC who hate you, your family and what you believe in.

I'm a bit older but when growing up we watched the Oscars every year,

My mother, who grew up in the 1930's and 40's, used to watch the Oscars religiously. She would even have a close friend or two over, and they would comment on the movies, the actors they liked, the clothes being worn, etc...

I do understand "Hollywood" of long ago was much more glamorous, was apolitical, and represented a standard set of values accepted by all Americans. None of those are true now

Great pic. I actually counted 13 Blacks.( couldn’t say African Americans cause I don’t know if all 13 are American.) There’s 300 to 400 people in this pic. 13 Blacks. GOP candidates like the gal running against Red Bill deBlasio should take this with them when they campaign in bkack neighborhoods

Colbert said before the show for Trump supporters not to watch. I know I was happy to oblige. I also know this a riff on the size of the inaugural audience dispute. Very lame if you ask me.

I was so busy not watching that the NFL that I forgot that I was not watching another stupid awards show. Old episodes of Columbo and Highway to Heaven were on an over-the-air TV station.

It was a desperate ploy disguised as edginess, they knew their viewership was going to suck so they tried to taunt outraged Trump supporters to watch with an over-the-top psycho Trump hatefest. Who knows what their numbers would have been like if they hadn’t done that. Worse, yes, but how much worse we’ll never know.

The same with Motown in the 1960s. All the acts had to go through a finishing school on how to dress and behave before they could appear on stage or in public. That world no longer exists.

The all American family show is extinct.

Yes, Tim Allen did try with his last show. It was getting good ratings (for a Friday Night show); but, they cancelled him anyway.

All I can say about Stephen Colbert is that he’s a leftist prick with the tired and unfunny schtick. Grumpy old man and bitter liberal David Letterman in his later years on the Late Show is still ten times funnier than bigmouth Colbert!

I couldn’t decide what not to watch!
I was curious if the Hollywood loonies would take time out from thier dozens of awards shows patting each other on the back to call Trump a narcissist.
