How is better radar going to avoid bird strikes?
Birds do not file flight plans. Nor do they fly predictable routes. They change direction without notice.
A flock on the ground this minute can be in the air the next minute for no particular reason.
Radar is pretty darned good right now. It is not that the birds do not show up on radar that is the issue.
Maybe enough radar to microwave them out of the air?
