AZ man played with a rattlesnake, got bit in the face

Victor Pratt has been in the hospital since Sept. 1 after a rattle snake bit him in the face. Two weeks later, and the wound is still difficult to look at. "It makes your brain smash," Pratt said, trying to describe what the pain felt like. He was able to keep his cool enough to pry the snake's jaw off him and get to a hospital in Coolidge, where the incident happened.

Please note that this is the SECOND time this guy has been bitten while "playing" with a rattlesnake -proving once again that when Mr. Darwin gives a pop-quiz, some people fail.

"I probably had to be 19. I remember it getting stuck [on my hand]," he said, explaining the last time he was bit by a rattlesnake – also in Coolidge where he grew up.

He said he used to play with snakes as kid to entertain himself and has since learned to cook them.

One of the first things my father taught me was...
“ Don’t play with the Rattlesnakes, they are for church!!!”.

I’ve been into snakes since I was a kid, and I’ve had many as pets (including rat snakes, boas, ball pythons, water snakes, green snakes, pine snakes and others).

But even I would not be dumb enough to play with a rattle snake — let alone be tupid enough to let it get within striking distance of my face or any other part of my body.
