Conservatives of the country, take note: Voices are being squelched. Viewpoints are being stifled. Free thinking is being vilified. The First Amendment is being choked.
And it’s all being brought about by a leftist’s favorite tool — controlling in the name of protecting.
The left’s logic goes this way: “Free speech is good, but it has limits.” Or, “We believe in free speech — of course, we believe in the freedom of speech. But some speech is harmful and hateful and hurtful.”
It’s the type of logic that gets Milo Yiannopoulos banned from taxpayer-funded university speaking podiums. It’s also the type of logic that lets thugs masquerade as righteous protesters, and set things on fire, like buildings and police cars, ‘cause their snowflake sensibilities get offended.
It’s spreading.
It’s making massive inroads in the private sector, most noticeably perhaps online, in social media.

The great irony here is that Charlottesville is a liberal haven. College town, lots of professors, don’t think a Republican has come from there in a couple of decades (last was probably George Allen in the 90s).
The mayor should be driven out of town for cooperating with carpetbagging Gov. McAuliffe to make Charlottesville known nationally only as the site of the march of a few hundred people who, like the antifa counter-protesters, don’t even live there. But Charlottesville has been stigmatized. Used to be a beautiful, lovely town.
I had the same thought right after Trump got excoriated for stating the plain truth that there were bad people on both sides.
I do not think it is playing out that way, though.
History, dissent, and any alternate world views besides leftist safe ones are being scrubbed, changed, and altered.
It will continue, because the leftists are in positions of power in NEWS MEDIA, SPORTS, HOLLYWOOD, ENTERTAINMENT, INTERNET, GAMING, HIGHER EDUCATION, LOCAL/STATE/FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
Conservatives and those on the right have been pushed out of all the social and cultural institutions.
It is going to continue to get worse, and there is very little action anyone can take to stop that now. It will take decades to turn it around.
Charlottesvile was a complete Frontdoor/Backdoor setup job from the start. From what I seen on YouTube it’s highly questionable that the two helicopter police were also NOT killed.
