Tell me about it. When my wife’s water broke my daughter’s umbilical cord came out first. It took 28 minutes from the time her water broke until the time she was born. I live in a rural community 15 miles from the hospital and no ambulance service.
“Perhaps this showbiz nobody should attend medical school before making such comments.C-Sections are absolutely essential in some situations in order to ensure the well being of mother and/or child.”
Yes, but that is not what she is referring to.
This is quite an honest comment on her part.
But more and more they are not done for medical necessity but for either the mother or doctor’s convenience.
C-sections are promoted by obstetric docs generally for the convenience of the doctor. The number of c-sections that are medically indicated compared to the number that ate actually performed, motly for the convenience of the doctor but now more and more also for the convenience of the mother is very large. C-section in many hospitals is the normal method of birth. My daughter and her husband went to Peru to have my grandson mostly because it was cheaper than staying in the USA but partly because at 6 weeks she was already getting pressured to schedule a c-section. in Peru they went with a mid-wife and I have one exceedingly healthy grandson.
