The same folks that brought us the 0bama VA now want veterans to help them do more of the same. Best of luck with that one.

Note the perennial drive not to cultivate the opinions of veterans or to point policies toward their interests, but to use their faces as Democrat party fronts. It's still all about posture, not substance, and that's a problem with identity politics that isn't going away.

I want some of whatever they are smoking. I have a medical excuse. Liberals make me sick to my stomach.

The problem for Democrats is that most such veterans will be utterly inexperienced as candidates and prone to newbie mistakes.

Rail industry. Apparently, some ships use the same diesel engines, generators, motors, and switchgear as diesel-electric locomotives.

The knowledge base translates well to this particular civilian industry.

One thing I have noticed is that the leftism is inversely proportional to age. The people who had 20+ years in the military, down to about 8 years are much more conservative than the the ones who only were in for 6 years or less.

Also a factor is where these people were originally from.

Maybe they can entice some of those dead Confederate veterans whose statues they’ve been desecrating, but I doubt it.

The only way their 2006 playbook could work is if Trump is dumb enough to start a big war like Bush was.

Doesn't matter. Media will cover for them.

Political newbies tend to focus on the wrong things and to go off the rails on key decisions. A well-led and well-funded party campaign operation can mostly remedy such weaknesses, but the Democrats no longer have such an operation in place. Creating it before the election is possible but unlikely.

With the current behavior of the “Don’t expect too much out of us” Republican congress I look for the democrats to take the senate or it remain static and I look for them to pick p a butt load of seats in the House. Not because of anything Trump has or hasn’t done but because of the Replublican congresses inability to tell the truth and walk and chew gum at the same time. The base votes in mid-terms and right now the Republican base is furious at the Republican congress who lied to them again.

They will vote in the primaries and when those rigged primaries all show the same little GOPE liars the base will say to hell with it, I have better things to do than waste my time between evil and a lying idiot. The country will suffer but it happened in 2006 and 2008 and will happen again.

“I look for the Democrats to take the Senate or it remain static and I look for them to pick up a butt load of seats in the House....”

They might even run Bernie in 2020 and run candidates to the left of Mao Tse Tung for the midterms.

(Probably have communists all over the place and the millenial base having concurrent orgasms for a year.)

IMHO

It might just be that the kind of people who go into the military for the job skills training (engine repair, etc) are not the same as the ones who go into the combat-arms sectors.
