So in these cases of US Navy collisions:

GPS failed on both the US ship and the other ship involved.

On board radar failed on the same.

Physical sighting failed on the same.

I just find it hard to believe that’s the case.

Even if everything else failed, aren’t there always supposed to be real humans in charge of navigation, not just depending on technology?

Our Military has became to relax while on duty and to dependent on GPS. I can believe people where sleeping on post...

GPS can be spoofed, apparently, for multiple platforms in the same area. See here

"On board radar failed on the same."

Radar can be fooled.

"Physical sighting failed on the same."

Did these incidents happen at night? Do they still use lookouts?
