I-44 between Joplin and StL is packed with semis. If there is a wreck? Hope you brought your lunch. Per MHP-For every 10 minutes of stopped traffic on I-44, it backs up one mile. Maybe you need to bring dinner as well?

Truckers are always chattering about road alerts on the CB radio. As a trucker, used to having a CB, I prefer to take one along when going on long trips in the personal vehicles. I keep the volume just high enough to hear it, but low enough that it doesn’t annoy the wife. And on those trips I usually only listen to it on the interstate freeways and toll roads.
Through the years the cb has saved me many hours of being stuck in backed up traffic. A fatality can shut down a road completely for hours.
