Funny thing is, there really is NO legitimate argument whatsoever for this guy to have a statue. What war did he fight in? Oh that's right, he didn't want to serve in an Army with "negroes" in it. Real classy guy.

By the liberals own criteria, no way that he can be honored for anything, because of that action.
If the liberal radical types are going to tear down monuments to the sins of the past in our history, then to be intellectually honest, they need to go after liberal icons too.
I never understood how the Democrats were ok with an avowed member of the KKK as a Senator. Or how he can be honored even today.
Well, go for it, liberal/radical types. Rip the name and statues of Byrd down everyplace in West Virginia where his name shows up. Do that and you will at least be intellectually honest in your quixotic quest to cleanse American history.
