I am DONE with the GOP.

Edited on 08/17/2017 7:55:30 AM PDT by Sidebar Moderator. [history]

I have been on FR under txzman but no longer have access to my old email.

After today, I am DONE with ANYTHING having to do with the GOP. I tried to call the GOP Natl HQ today and as you might guess their mailbox is full.

Not only will I NEVER vote for this party again, I am seriously tempted to vote straight Democratic in 2018 to teach these spineless, dishonest SOBs a lesson.

I predict a massive sweep for the Dems in 2018. Not because they are sane or should win - just that massive numbers of formerly dependable GOP voters like me will be saying (expletive deleted) and will stay home or vote elsewhere.

There, I feel better. My Dad was an Annapolis Grad, Counterespionage all his life and he would agree - America is finished. And I don't care anymore....

Well then the Dems accomplished just what they set out to accomplish. You will reward then by voting for them. Smart

Don’t vote Dem in protest. That’s like saying: to show how pissed I am at the Czar, i’m going to support that Lenin fellow.

Choose a 3rd party to support instead, or don’t vote. When I’m angry, I vote libertarian because at least they aren’t afraid to let is all collapse, and they want to kill the Federal Reserve and our fake monetary system, the root of all our problems.

We need you to help primary people.

I’m fed up, too, but this is when you get active to change things—not give up.

Trump needs to drop a new big story on them.

Admit it. You were pretty much leaning that way anyway.

As much as I despise Johnny Isakson, if he’s the Republican nominee, I’ll be voting for him. Then I’ll bombard him with notes and calls as I do now - status quo.

I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill and think things over before doing something like that.

what the HELL do you want them to do?....the parties are bought and paid for....so you decide to give the rats a heads up by voting for them?....they are the worse of the worse...

pubs are nothings, no doubt...do nothings...and in Washington DC, doing nothing is to OUR BENEFIT in most things...

I hate them too....

don't know where we are supposed to go or live or what to do....America is gone but WE are still here and we're going have to stick together folks...

Nah the GOP brought this reaction on all by themselves. People like Rubio condoning violence against people who gathered peacefully to protest. IDC who they were you have to support their right to freedom of speech. He basically said he thinks the counter protestors had a right to throw shit and piss at people and swing bats because the people marching were bad guys.

I’m done with the GOP also, but I’d never, ever vote for a liberal Dem.

By the time 2018 rolls around, there will be another option. It might be the GOP once Trump is done throwing the bums out, or it might be a third MAGA party.

Now get back to your position and fight, dammit.

The sad thing is that the only reason to vote GOP is to keep the Dem candidate out. What person can honestly say voting GOP will bring about anything different. Voting GOP is just a vote for stasis.

The crony capitalists, the lawyers, the banksters, big pharma, insurance companies, and the Deep State — they control the legislative branch beyond what any of us can hope to do with our piddly vote.

In a just world, toilet fish like Paul Ryno and Yertle would be tarred and feathered and dumped into the Potomac. We need Jesus in the Temple thrashing the shysters and turning over their tables of wares.

The uniparty has a chokehold on our country that Trump has made all too obvious.

We need a whole new party to put into control but how likely is that with us at each other’s throats - just like they want. We are manipulated...this whole Charlotsville is staged for us by the men and women behind the curtain.

I will try to give Trump everything he asks for. He is our only hope.

Putting the crooked, lying, vengeful, hate ridden liberals in office based upon your effort to punish the only party that can stop them from destroying us, reminds me of a saying my parents used to use when I was a kid:

“Cutting off your nose to spite your face.”

Not everything that happens around you is what you want. The only way to get it there is to raise enough hell till they listen to you. You may die lonely. But you and God will be on the best of terms. Good luck on your decisions.

The first order of business if the Democrats gain control of Congress will be the impeachment of President Trump. The second order of business will be the impeachment of President Pence.

I see your posting name has “Taxas” in it. Be grateful. I’m in California. Doesn’t matter what I do, in most cases, I get the choice of two DEMs and no GOP candidate in most elections (except for POTUS). And I’m not in the top-5 liberal counties in the state.

In 1992, NY Times columnist William Safire was disgusted with GHW Bush and urged people to protest Bush by "holding your nose" and voting for Clinton. Think Safire was mad about higher taxes.

Great idea! Worked out soooo well for us. And taxes got even higher.
