Two different issues. If I sell a product or service--and I do--I do so to anyone that comes to buy so long as it is a legal transaction. Back in the 80s, with my first company, my neighbor, a diplomatic-covered employee of a foreign country came to me asking to buy computers that were illegal for export, I refused the sale. But if not illegal, I don't pick my customers--need more anyway.

But who works for me, of course I care and I will not employ anyone that jeopardizes my company. And be clear that I would never hire/fire based on race, gender, age, etc. Not relevant. But actions--like posting hate, flying flags of hate, participating in hate protests, committing murder--of course I will fire them. And not lose a moment of sleep.

My point in mentioning the lunch counter thing was to demonstrate that "freedom of association" is no longer a right, because the government now imposes a particular viewpoint on everyone regarding their business transactions.

It is a short distance from that to imposing ideological purity on everyone as well. We are devolving in the direction of group think and approved morality, and I see this as the end of freedom of speech, and with the loss of that, what makes the United States functional will cease.

We will become another lock step fascist state in which opinions contrary to the "official" established morality will be verboten.
