Where does this Violence End? (vanity)
(self) | Aug. 13, 2017 | (self)

Posted on 08/13/2017 3:39:02 AM PDT by BobL

Good morning people,

A few of things to keep in mind about the violence yesterday: 1) The NAZI / KKK / Alt Right / White Supremacists / Trump Supporters (whatever you want to call them) had a legal permit to march in Charlottesville. 2) The march was peaceful until the 'counter protesters', the people without permits (the Bernie people), showed up. 3) The police were ordered to stand-down, by the government - hence the violence was intentional.

One Leftist that I know says that the easy way to avoid the violence is to not permit the NAZIs (and similar groups) to protest. In other words, if there's a threat of violence, not from the marchers, but from their opponents, then don't allow the march. So I pointed out a few things:

1) Where does it end? Right after Trump took office there was 'Million Women March' - if Trump's people had threatened to attack that march with guns, would the proper response be to tell those women to go home and forget it? Or, instead, have the police round up Trump's people? Hopefully most would agree that Trump's people would need to be rounded up? [but, of course, no violence happened, since our side never instigates the violence]

2) So does that mean that someone in government gets to 'decide' which peaceful groups (i.e., the NAZIs or the Women) get to march and which ones do not? Doesn't sound good to me. What if Trump government decide that violence is more likely when Women march than when the KKK marches...would that be ok? Or should every peaceful group be allowed to march, with implication anyone who starts violence is arrested and held accountable?

3) How far should this extend? If Trump wants to hold a rally in Springfield, Missouri, but the local Democrat Party (or some other group) promises that they will violently attack the Trump people, should the event then be canceled? Should Trump be allowed to address any large group, if violence is threatened? Should Trump be permitted to address any group (large or small) if violence is threatened. Should any Republican be permitted to address any group, if violence is threatened? Should any Republican be allowed to speak in public, at all?

4) In Australia a Jewish Synagogue was refused a building permit last week, not because the Jews in Australia are violent, but because other groups (and we know who they are) might attack the synagogue. Is that the end game...no more houses of worship if just the existence those houses of worship might incite people? In Texas, there's a battle between What-A-Burger and In-and-Out Burger going on in Dallas right now. If the people working at What-A-Burger threaten to burn down In-and-Outs, should In-and-Out be denied building permits, even though In-and-Out is a peaceful company? Should the people of Dallas have to continue to suffer under the reign of What-A-Burger because of the threat of violence against In-and-Out? Like I ask, where does this end?

The Fake News Media Created Charlottesville, and Will Create More in the Future

DB Daily Update ^ | 8.13.2017 | David Blackmon
Posted on 8/13/2017, 5:28:23 AM by EyesOfTX

What happened in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday should surprise no one. This was an inevitable outcome of this country’s lack of anything resembling an independent national news media. If anything, it’s surprising it took this long for such a tragedy to happen.

For two years now, leftist agitators funded by George Soros-supported groups have been violently assaulting supporters of Donald Trump without a single word of objection or condemnation from any leader of the Democratic Party. Not a word.

Worse, none of these “leaders” have been asked by anyone with any major national news outlet why they stand silently by as supporters of their political party engage in increasingly vile and violent protest actions.

Not a single Democrat politician has been questioned by any “journalist” why they not only refuse to condemn such actions, but tacitly endorse them by proclaiming themselves to be participants in the “resistance”.

Not a single “journalist” has asked any Democrat why they refuse to even condemn the rise of a neo-fascist group that calls itself “Antifa”, and which pays masked thugs to burn buildings, attack law enforcement officers and beat up anyone who disagrees with them.

I’m definitely a Whataburger supporter. Does that mean I’m a Nazi?

YES YOU ARE.

Anyone not supporting In-and-Out is a FLAMING FASCIST, since they don’t agree with me.

I’m reading about the French Revolution now. Many similarities. Core: the Left promised diversity and liberty, implemented by brutal killing of anyone who did not toe the party line. Today we’re seeing the same building, Leftists demanding liberty & diversity - enforced by demands for firing, fining, divorcing, silencing, jailing, and even killing anyone construed as not perfectly on point.

In the end, it will not happen because way too many Americans are armed. Plus many more over the last 8 years.

“....for the life of me I can’t understand why Trump lets the media use him for a punching bag when all he has to do is have Sessions arrest Hillary...”

The way I see it - if it was that simple, Trump would have done it. Right?

I mean, Trump (of all people) is nobody’s punching bag. He’s not afraid of anything. He’s the real deal.

He is single handedly waging a war against the press by publicly calling them “fake” and “dishonest” on a regular basis. A war of words with the press? My God, think of the balls, when words are their weapon of choice, and it’s unconstitutional to “disarm” them!

He’s single handedly waging wars against the MSM, the deep state, the swamp, Marxism, crony capitalism, globalism, cheap labor express, abortion, regulatory state sponsored monopoly, cowardly RINOism, political correctness, reverse racism - you name it - he has picked all the right fights to attempt the impossible: MAGA.

I don’t think I’m over stating when I call it a miracle that this man (and his family) offered up and sacrificed their lives for the republic to restore it to greatness. I confess that even as a very, very early and enthusiastic supporter, this conservative vastly underestimated Trump.

I had no idea what a true and principled conservative he would turn out to be. I had no idea how consistant he would turn out to be. ...how courageous, how smart, how honest, how circumspect, how focused, how strategic, how wise.

True, his “tone” and his choice of words doesn’t always measure up to the standards of the stereotypical statesman that has been imprinted upon us as children by our history teachers. But how much of that is political correct BS? I think pretty much all of it.

Trump is doing everything he can (which is A LOT) and risking everything he and his family has (which is A LOT) in the way of wealth, comfort, physical safety, reputation, and legacy.

I have to believe there’s more standing in his way than meets the eye. The deep state, the entrenched powers-to-be must stop Trump at all costs, and their resources must be truly awesome - hundreds of trillions of $ and a tight grip on all the reigns of power, and yet we are impatient with Trump for not getting it done faster!

Why doesn’t he just fire [fill in the blank]? Why doesn’t he just lock up [ fill in the blank]? Why would he let [fill in the blank] use him as a punching bag?

Sorry for the rant - it’s not directed at what you said - I know you probably agree with everything I’m saying - I’m frustrated too. I just doubt the problem is as simple as Sessions being lazy, or McMasters being a sabateur. If it were that simple, Trump would have taken action.

Just sayin’

I hope you’re right that an improving economy, alternative news sources and people being fed up will result in the 2018 elections making a difference.

I have my doubts. The entrenched powers-that-be will NOT let the swamp be drained. They control the financial markets - they can tank the economy whenever they want (they’ve done it before). They control the media and can even tank the internet if it comes to that.

I’m afraid they control politics too. Trump won in 2016 because the powers-that-be were completely taken by surprise. They vastly underestimated him. Will they make that mistake again?

Their favorite tactic is to ignite a foreign policy hot spot and create the narrative that it’s the greedy capitalists who are causing it. All they have to do is get the MSM to drill into everyone’s heads non stop that its the same people who want to MAGA who are starting the war.

Once there is war on the horizon and they can blame it on Trump, you can forget about MAGA.

Violence, like war, is not always bad.

Sometimes it’s necessary.

Plus I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU on top of that because you have no proof to back things up.

The election of Donald J. Trump may have prevented it from happening.

His election only delayed it in my opinion. The govt has shown that it is unable to police itself let alone the violent factions among the population. They break the laws that they make for the rest of us.

The police and the city or university are at fault at these rallies for not keeping things under control and keeping opposite views separated. It should be safe for both Antifa and the Klan to demonstrate. if not, don’t issue a permit to the second applicant and arrest the side that has none. But letting people face off in the street and yell and throw things at each other is a formula for tragedy.

the city had an obligation to establish adequate safety when they issue a permit or know a large crowd is coming to the city. laving the street open and letting people throw things at each other and yell from opposite sides of a narrow street is not adequate safety and this and other incidents prove it. So the city IS responsible to prevent such incidents. Any rookie cop would know that people have been driving crowds into cars all over the world and here in the states.

None of the precludes a jury from finding the driver guilty. but the officials are also culpable and the DOJ or state AG should be all over that investigation . In Cal when coulter was scheduled, the chancellor of UC should have been sent to jail along with the campus police chief or the Berkeley chief for failure to protect the public and the property of the university and the first amendment rights of the group that invited her and of course Ann herself. But the governor of Cal was too busy raising taxes and hugging trees.

if these crimes and ministerial negligence were dealt with the incidents would decrease.

Didn’t the Rodney King riots happen in 1992, an election year that the Clintons got elected? I suspect a connection.

Yeah, you’re right - I got a little carried away with the pessimism on that one. Like I said at the start - I hope you’re the one that’s right!

Also, regarding the lack of proof - you got me there too. We’re all just expressing opinions here - nobody has proof about what’s going to happen in the future.

The last couple months of non stop fake news and this Mueller crap have worn me down a bit lately. Remember the days of “there will be so much winning you’ll be sick of winning.”?

I’m just ready to hear about some more winning. So I come here on FR and instead of winning, it’s mostly reposting of fake news stories from MSM about losing. Trump getting blamed for this, unable to pass that, backstabbing RINOs, the Russia thing just won’t go away. I know it’s fake, but it still gets me down.

The call themselves “the resistance” and “by any means necessary”. Their stated goal is to counter and put an end to any activities by our side or side that opposes them “by any means necessary”.

They absolutely do not want us in the streets or the public square.

You have to give him credit - the community agitator is good at what he does.

We don’t have anyone on our side that’s anywhere near as good - and we desperately need one in this war.
