Back in the day I came home with my 2 kids and there were 5 tarantulas in my bedroom. I killed them all by throwing shoes at them. I feel bad now, they aren’t bad.Yes, they're actually quite docile. I've caught many. I stick my hand out in front of them and eventually they'll walk right up into your hand.
Fun stuff if you don't suffer from arachnophobia.

Yes, they're actually quite docile. Had a crazy Indian (American) buddy in the Marines. Liked to go out and find tarantulas, etc. Never got bit until one fell off his hand and broke a leg. Bit him when he picked it up.
Crazy bastard would go find scorpions and let them run around on the barracks deck.
