  Former DNC Head Debbie Wasserman Schultz finally broke her silence on arrested IT staffer Imran Awan, saying she has no regrets about keeping him on the payroll after he was blocked from working on Capitol Hill.

  Orlando Sentinel reports:

  Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz defiantly stands by her decision to keep an information technology aide on her payroll for six months after he was banned from the House network and fired by other members of Congress.

  “I believe that I did the right thing, and I would do it again,” Wasserman Schultz said Thursday in an exclusive interview with the Sun Sentinel. “There are times when you can’t be afraid to stand alone, and you have to stand up for what’s right.

  “It would have been easier for me to just fire him,” she said.

  The Weston Democrat did fire Imran Awan last week after he was arrested on bank fraud charges at an airport while trying to leave the country.

  As the former Democratic National Committee chairwoman, Wasserman Schultz is the most prominent Democrat who employed Awan. Her decision to keep employing Awan has been under fire from her Democratic primary challenger, Republicans and multiple conservative websites. They’ve suggested Wasserman Schultz is hiding something and the Awan matter is much more serious than she’s letting on.

  His arrest, the congresswoman said, had nothing to do with the months-long investigation of Awan as an IT worker for a variety of members of Congress. An FBI affidavit filed with the criminal complaint said Awan and his wife claimed a property used to secure a home equity line of credit was a “principal residence,” when it was, in fact, a rental property. Wasserman Schultz said there still hasn’t been any evidence presented that he’s done anything wrong involving his work for Congress.

POINTS TO PONDER: The more you examine the Paki/infiltration, the more you sense that D/W/S did not act alone on this.......but that fact does not exonerate her treasonous activity.

This gal is super-ambitious. D/W/S actually has a spreadsheet of "people who owe her"....people she did favors for.

D/W/S was especially keen on getting into the good graces of the half-caste Royal Idiot b/c it suited her crass self-serving ambitions.

Strangely enough, on the surface it seemed like the half/caste kept shrugging her off.....as she pursued him w/ a vengeance.

Distilling the info, one concludes, D/W/S was a willing "doer of tasks," but the Royal Idiot had to give the appearance that they were not connected.

The Pakis could not have (A) gotten security clearance, (B) gargantuan salaries, and, (C) gotten visas .....without some pretty high-level help.

The grotesque salaries are also problematic.....could be one way D/W/S and Hill Democrats got paid off for their silence........via campaign contributions, kickbacks, wire-transfers, and the like

When Awan’s arrest story first broke, the nervous Wasserman sent out spox David Damron w/ the usual Democrat-in-trouble BS: “Mr. Awan previously served as a part-time employee but his services have been terminated. No charges, evidence or findings from the investigation have been formally shared with our office, so we cannot comment on them.”

Official documents, court records and multiple interviews suggest the Awan crew may have engaged in government fraud, tax evasion, bank fraud, extortion, bankruptcy fraud and insurance fraud. More alarmingly, money (our tax dollars?) could have been funneled overseas.

Doubling down is a pre-planned strategy by the dems, they do it often. This is not DWS thinking 'I would do it again' ... this is the employment of a media strategy. The liberal voter is above all else a follower, and the way followers figure out what to do is by looking for the leader that behaves as if they are sure about what they are doing. If the leader's integrity is in doubt, they don't follow the facts, they look for 'congruency signaling.' (Ever notice how important social signaling is to liberals - it's because they are pack creatures.)

In general, liberal voters are very insecure so look for how to behave from cues from their leaders. This is part of why they can't debate -> they never actually thought about and arrived at their positions, they just adopted them for how good they made them feel or how good they felt it would make them look in the within the social net. They have no sense of self. This is also why they are happy to give away freedoms ... if you are not an individual ... who cares about individual freedom?

So, for Debbie, this will work well amongst the leftiest lefties, but she's already discredited goods amongst the middle. Bernie followers won't throw her to the lions but they will let the bus continue on it's path if they see Debbie passed out in the road.
