In this week's episode 3, Snow comments in passing, "I am not a Stark", meaning what, exactly?
So Snow thinks his father is Ned Stark, his mother unknown, making John half-brother to Sansa, Arya & Bran but in reality, his mother was Ned's sister Lyanna Stark and his father maybe Rhaegar Targaryen, making Jon half-brother to Daenerys!
This would seem to eliminate certain romantic possibilities, but then again, given how the Lannister siblings carry on in this story, maybe not so much?
