If you want some completely home-grown turmeric, an absolutely fresh rhyzome, let me know. I'm bringing some to my sister in STL, first week of October (assuming it blooms; the bloom of turmeric is irregular to say the least). I assume you have a micro-planer available; turmeric's rhyzome is hard as nails.

I don’t have a micro planer. Are you growing it in Missouri? I do have some fresh organic spice, and some capsules that are from a supposedly good source.

Mostly, I have been using fresh ginger root since that is one of the few spices we get that is real and not processed.

Where did you get the plant to begin with?
