Police chief is out but I believe that’s to save the mayor’s meal ticket. The officer involved is not owning up to anything, its CYA and besides he is above it all. His partner is not protecting him so we will eventually know as much of the story as they decide to release.

Hopefully the people of the city will demonstrate their feelings but the Muslim % may be too high at this point. That’s why Sessions and Trump’s work on removing illegals & preventing wholesale immigration is vital to our Nation’s survival. I don’t think this cop was only a flawed individual. I think he was a flawed individual shaped by a flawed culture/religion.

People’s comments reflect who they are. I’m sure Molon thought he was adding to the conversation and providing information about real world consequences. In a sense he was saying it really stinks and Mo will get punished but not as much as you think. If we don’t like that we need to change the system not flame Molon. I think lowering the standards of police & fire to promote minorities and women is a disgrace and has directly led to unfit subpar officers being let loose to “defend” the public. That is where I would put blame and that is where I would go to fix it.

Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Some people are more matter of fact; some more vehement. To me the OP statement that this was an improper action with no situation able to justify the action was a strong statement. I didn’t read it as a justification. I read it as that’s a fact now what’s going to happen, how will it be seen in law, IMO.

That’s what’s hard about the internet sometimes, no tone of voice, no gestures or facial expressions to give content.

The officer who wrote, Molon was not silent. The partner who was driving is not silent. Many police will stand up but there is a dynamic going on that is hard to ignore. The police are put in situations where they are under attack often. If their fellow officers don’t go to their aid without question they will get injured or die. That makes calling out a fellow officer a higher barrier than it would be for us to call out a fellow worker. This situation I have seen no police standing up for Mohammed but in other situations when the truth is not yet clear officers wait & see without condemning.

That is why there are review boards to get to the facts and a clear decision without fear of retribution. The review boards are the real battleground of truth vs coverup.

Yes, I’m guilty on occasion for my lack of tact. And it is an issue where the “communication” isn’t face to face. Once in a while I get called out for something I’ve written, and when I reflect on the reaction(s) I often see that I could and should have made my comment(s) “softer.” Because, for the most part, the folks here on FR are my kind of people and I don’t want or mean to offend. That said, being a Californian, I do take serious offense to those who seemingly want to eliminate me from the United States ( along with FR I might add because, it’s located here in Fresno). When we start dissecting the country, we are sewing the seeds of our own destruction, because although there are many places here in the US where the RATs currently have the majority, it does not mean that there are not also substantial numbers of conservatives residing there as well who should not be thrown under the bus.

We took a good friend and his wife out to dinner a few nights ago as it was his 80th birthday. He was our town's first police chief who was forced into retirement 20 years ago by reason of a heart attack. It has been interesting to see just how long it has taken for his what I will call for lack of a better term “cop mentality” to subside.
Being in law enforcement forces a change in one’s outlook on one’s fellow man that appears to be inescapable. Dealing with the dregs of society has a negative effect on cops and they end up seeing everyone as “potential law violators,” instead of friends or just people. There was a time that we didn't communicate because he saw any issue we spoke about that involved the deportment of the police as an attack. Thankfully, for the most part, at 80, he's able to see a complete picture, but it has not been easy for him to "rejoin” normal society. It is sad that that is the case, but I personally think the “us vs them” mentality is pervasive in law enforcement because of self-preservation.

I cherish California Conservatives and I hope we will be able to assist them in taking back their communities & State. I shamefully admit I sometimes lambast the Left coast but not without compassion & recognition of the Conservatives who are overwhelmed politically by the liberal cities. It’s kind of like NYC. All the people I know are Conservatives but most of them are in the closet.

I think we stand at the shore of a tide that is coming in. The results of common sense, business friendly policies, a level playing field and legal, merit based immigration policy may allow for a “righting” of our ships, on both coasts.

No it isn’t.

Murder is any killing where there is malicious intent to do so.

He pulled out his gun and shot across his partner into a woman wearing pajamas.

He had malicious intent.

I hope he gets charged with Murder 1, and is executed. Barring that I hope he has an “accident.”

If he isn’t charged I hope he has an “accident” at the hands of fellow cops, or citizens.
