A dog owner was left baffled when her pet golden retriever gave birth to a GREEN puppy.
Three-year-old family pet Rio had a litter of nine puppies last week, but when one came out mint green Louise Sutherland was gobsmacked.

Ex used to raise West Highland White Terriers. A ‘green’ puppy was not uncommon with a difficult delivery or a long labor.

The canine placenta contains an area of bright green liquid/paste. A puppy stained with this has usually had a difficult delivery. This green will also stain the bedding, carpet, or other material where the puppies are whelped. It is 100% natural -— so, NO, it is not really a green puppy.

I was more concerned about the lack of blue and purple mammals... There are green rocks, green plants, green fungi, green insects, green fish, green reptiles, green birds, green amphibians, but no green mammals.
A chow has a blue tongue, and a mandrill has a purple butt.
