An Australian woman who was living in Minnesota and engaged to be married next month was shot dead by police — after she called 911 to report a disturbance behind her house.

Three sources with knowledge of the incident said that when they arrived, the officers pulled around back and were immediately confronted by Damond, who was in her pajamas.
As she attempted to speak to the cop in the driver’s seat, the other officer apparently unholstered his gun and started blasting — striking her through the driver’s side door, the sources said.

could be as innocent as a nervous trigger happy cop....or could be as sinister as that she walked up on the cops raping a little girl and got silenced, but for now all we have is "cop involved shooting"

If true, that could not remotely be called innocent.

The only thing that might even come close to cause such a response is if she was grabbing for the driver officer’s sidearm. Even that is marginal. Way too little information so far.

Those can be inconvenient, even if you are fortunate enough get a jury that can't believe their lyin' eyes.

Answers need to be swiftly forthcoming from the police department; shooting inoffensive unarmed civilians cannot go unexplained. The "Blue Wall of Silence" simply won't do in this situation. If cops lose the trust of the civilian population, their job becomes exponentially more difficult.
OTOH, if the plan is to turn our society into a police state, then we should continue in the current path.

The cops can legally murder, enslave, and steal from most citizens in most states over their flower garden.

Reading some of the responses to your post I see the turgidity is once again rampant on a thread where a cop gets to shoot someone. (not you)
A system so conducive to abuse that it’s terrifying. Vindictive dysfunctional people pretending to be do-good whistle-blowers and innocent victims are a menace to polite society.
Oh well now. The cops really screwed up.
There's your problem right there, two cops sharing one gun.
A cop can gun you down in broad daylight for no reason at all and will 99.9% of the time face no significant consequences for his action.
