The BBC on Sunday revealed Jodie Whittaker as the 13th Doctor for hit series Doctor Who. She will be the first female lead for the sci-fi series on the U.K. public broadcaster. Current lead Peter Capaldi will leave his role after this year's Christmas special...Earlier this year, Pearl Mackie was tapped to play the first openly gay companion to the space-hopping doc.

Aside from the first Doctor clearly implying that Susan was his biological granddaughter, there's nothing on screen to show that. However, the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann) had obvious romantic interests in many of his companions and was the first Doctor to kiss people on screen. British people used to sneer that it was non-canon and the "American Doctor Who" (the entire production was British, it was merely filmed in North America) didn't count. I thought McGann and Eric Roberts (as The Master) were better than many of their counterparts in the 2005 BBC revival.
RTD had "innenudo", whereas Moffatt constantly had in your face homosexual characters telling everyone they're gay and "married" to another person of the same gender. Between the two of them, I'd take RTD anyday. At least a gay guy could write three dimensional gay characters. Moffat's "characters" were walking advertisements for leftist social policy.
just a heads up:
it seems many of the pro-sex change dr. who posts are duplicated on other sites in web. It seems the BBC is employing fake posters to astroturf support for a transsexual dr.
never mind the inevitable jokes.
vibrating sonic screwdriver
pregnant dr (one of the original reasons to not do gender swaping)
has an a 1000 year old time lady gone through her menopause?
new dr with EVEN MORE blah blah blah
did the bbc intend this as yet another popular culture hitlary Clinton. (will new dr wear a hitlary pantsuit?)
so watch out for fake posters.
(to go with a fake dr.)
river song
the BBC is stuck on stupid.
Must be wonderful to be an advertiser.
(and british taxpayers are funding this transsexual)
In the late 1970s I had an impromptu reunion with a group of friends in my old college town.
After getting high and wandering around downtown for a while, we ended up in the local Cinema Arts Theatre watching a soft porn (but well reviewed) version of the Canterbury Tales.
At some point in this film Tom Baker shows up as one of the Pilgrims, but doing full frontal nudity.
Mon Dieu!
Forty years later, I still can't wash that image out of my mind's eye when I watch reruns of Tom Baker as Doctor Who.
