Jet engine blast is no joke. There’s a training film somewhere I’ve seen showing a pickup truck being thrown what seems like 100 yards, but is probably less. Still . . .

I never wander on the runway at any airport, it is too damm risky! I am not stupid! But I do swim in Alligator infested lakes in Florida, try to catch snakes with my bare hands, drive a small car (Chevy Spark) in city traffic, give the finger to drivers who cut me off on Interstates, and am married to a red head. There are different levels of risk!

That was filmed on the Boeing flight line in Everett’s Paine Field. It was a training film for those that drive on the flight line to be aware of jet blasts; yes, that truck did get blown across the ramp. I bet there’s a YouTube video on it.
