Im kind of shocked to learn they actually have editors. One certainly would never guess that given the quality of the writing. There are some jobs where, if you are going to have an affirmative-action hire, you might as well leave the job empty.

They have copy editors to make sure that phrases like “pro-life” and “left wing extremist” don’t get in a Times article. But with the new SpeakWrite 84, the remaining Times editors can maintain ideological purity with half the staff.
