Michelle and Barack Obama are living their best lives. The forever First Couple took their daughters — Sasha and Malia Obama — on a holiday in Indonesia, and they got wet and wild while rafting down the Ayung River!
Talk about having a ball while in Bali. The former-First Family of the United States – Barack Obama, 55, Michelle Obama, 53, Malia Obama, 18 and Sasha Obama, 16 – went on a ten-day vacation in Indonesia, according to the Daily Mail, as Barack is set to speak at the 4th Indonesian Diaspora Congress. Yet, before Barack dealt with this official business, he and his family had some fun on the Ayung River. Though the white water rapids looked threatening, the Obamas finished the trip safe and sound.
The Obamas arrived in Bali on June 23, heading to the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, Ubud. After dropping off the luggage and settling in, they took a walk through the Jatiluwih rice terrace, a site designated a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Site. Maya Soetoro-Ng, 46, Barack’s half-sister, was also along for the sightseeing adventure, and she brought her husband and two children. Barack was spotted in Hawaii, where Maya lives, on June 22.

Just what I was thinking, anytime they are sitting not kneeling, with that many people packed in the raft, it surely is not going to go through any serious whitewater. Maybe a slight Class I ripple or two..... nothing “wild” about it at all.
Wouldn't matter. He could be using a US passport and still not have given up his Indonesian citizenship.

This is the high-risk time for leptospirosis in Bali.
Best to avoid fresh water exposure.
Sasha usually looks like a happy, normal kid. Malia has a nice smile but has a tendency to glare at the camera. I’d like to think she just hates the paparazzi. Both of my daughters spontaneously smile in the vicinity of any camera. I scowl at them. I’m with Malia on this one.

Having raised three daughters I know that look. They’re 16 and 18 respectively, the ages when spending ten days with their parents rates right up there with a root canal without anesthesia.
To be fair to the kids especially Malificent they’re at the age when they don’t really want to go places with their parents. I remember starting to do some travelling to see relatives unaccompanied at 16-17 and then went on a trip after with my mom and dad at 17 and was a miserable little SOB
