Everybody loves Solo. I even liked reading the Han Solo books. I think none of them are canon anymore. Disney swept them all away with one swoop, but he is quite interesting in them. If they made films of these books though, I would watch them. Wouldn’t say the same for these JJ Abrams films, which seem to just be ripping off the original 3 movies with very little creativity. Even the science fiction in the films, which were never meant to be realistic of course even in the originals, is so stupid as to be unbearable, like with the Super Death Star or whatever shooting its lasers from billions of light years away, striking 3 or 4 planets in the middle of the galaxy within minutes. People actually stand there and watch the beams as they strike, even from planets no where near the Star Killer base.

Not everybody. I hated the Solo character at first sight, grew to hate it so much I edited him out of my videotapes and applauded when his evil brat finally impaled him. The more Solo is talked up the more I loathe him. So there goes your general assumption.
