Property owners have every right to do that but I hate to see it, modern house designs don’t appear to involve anyone who has a good grounding in scale, proportion and overall design. They just max out the building envelope with a box, then add gables here or there, and tack on decoration in this or that “style.” They’re an eyesore in old neighborhoods of generally well designed houses that sit comfortably on the lot and within the neighborhood.
