The old haberdasher in me notes that President Trump is sporting a European tie with undoubtedly the requisite number of gold threads on the interlining.

European ties have stripes running from upper left to lower right. American ties run upper right to lower left. Gold threads on the interlining vary from tie material. Wool content usually determines the number of stripes as it corresponds to a tie's ability to retain its shape through the entire day.

Unfortunately, my neckties were all "well fed" with the meals of the day. God help me if I ever ate spaghetti..

Actually, the Kennedys had a baby, Patrick, while Kennedy was in office that only lived a few days. That was after John, Jr., who was born before Kennedy was sworn in as president.

A rounded belly is the natural form of a woman and one should not comment on a woman’s belly.

I agree, don’t think she’s pregnant. Odds of conception with a term delivery at 47 are statistically very small. Probably just a bit of a mid-life tummy, boy can I relate. All I can say is I’m glad I’m not her with every inch of my figure being inspected every time I leave the house.
