I’ve been stopped as many times - easily. Four times for speeding tickets; once for a tail light; four-five times for standard DUI roadblocks; and once (I swear) for intent to speed.
Cops come up with some ridiculous reasons. A couple of years ago I was driving straight down the road and a deputy I passed going the opposite way turned around and stopped me at night in a blizzard “because I thought your tires were too bald.”
Forty some years ago I was stopped all the time, bombing around in a new Fiat 124 Spyder.
