Planning to have Salvador Dalí, Orson Welles, Gloria Swanson, David Carradine, Mick Jagger, Amanda Lear and others for the cast makes me kind of glad the underlying project flopped.
But the documentary does sound very interesting.
He refused and refused but eventually relented:
"So we go to see the film. I am in the theater with my two sons and I am watching the opening credits. I almost left when Lynch's name came up. But I watched. And as the film progressed, a small smile came across my face. It grew as the film went on until I was almost crying with happiness. I was sooo happy because...this film, I thought, was TERRIBLE!"
