Study Finds Surprising Number of Americans Think Chocolate Milk Comes From Brown Cows

According to a recent survey, seven percent of Americans believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows.

The survey was conducted by the Innovation Center of US Dairy in April. 1,000 adults 18 and over were asked questions about the role milk plays in their daily lives, Food & Wine reported.

The study found 48% of respondents weren’t sure where chocolate milk came from. Seven percent thought chocolate milk only comes from brown cows.

That adds up to about 16.4 million people, more than the population of Ohio.

The Washington Post linked the study to past studies that consistently show many Americans have no idea where their food comes from. For example, a study in the 1990s found that nearly 20% of people did not know hamburgers are made from beef.

Maybe the results of the study are deeper than they appear at first glance.

Seven percent said they thought chocolate milk came from brown cows. Could this mean that seven percent were screwing with the poll, and be some indication of the percentage of people who are un-pollable?

That might be one component of DJT’s win. Another, of course, is that the “secret sauce” formulae that pollsters used to adjust the sample for presumed turnout and party loyalty, is crap.

Is anyone surprised? What the public schools are graduating are kids who are experts at having sex, taking drugs, using their cell phones. However, many of these kids can’t do basic math functions, congregate a sentence, know basic U.S. history or know where chocolate milk is from.

Brown cows produce a whole lot of milk and a significant percentage of that milk in made into chocolate milk.
