National Fudge Day is observed annually on June 16th. National Fudge Day is a food holiday that allows you to indulge in your favorite flavor of this delicious confectionary. Some of the most familiar fudge flavors are chocolate, chocolate nut, peanut butter, maple and maple nut.
Fudge lends itself to experimentation when it comes to flavors. Blending favorites or even a moment of inspiration will create a new delicious kind of fudge. Adding bits of candy, nuts or sprinkles can add just the right celebratory burst of excitement to an old favorite.
In the late 19th century, some shops on Mackinac Island, Michigan, began to produce similar products as the Vassar College fudge and sold it to summer vacationers. Fudge is still made in some of the original shops located on the famous island.

Heterosupremicist, why are you celebrating National Fudgepacker day?
Is it just a coincidence that National Fudge Day takes place during Gay Pride Month??

I think you may have misread the title...
If you don’t have access to local, handmade fudge, try some from Wisconsin. It was a HUGE treat for us when we were kids, as was their Salt Water Taffy.

This is the first year in 40 years that we will not be stopping here on our way back home.

Oh, that’s too bad! They have excellent cheese & treats! Cute local commercials, too - the younger generation is running it now and they’ve upgraded in a lot of ways. Good to see they want to keep the business going! :)

Here’s a recipe for making the drink at home:

I was attracted to the fudge recipe b/c of the marshmallow fluff.
Some say the “Secret” ing in o/j’s frothiness was an egg white.
Inventive cooks then replaced the egg white w/ marsh/fluff.
I love Fudge...didn’t know there was a day for it...
There are no coincidences
