Lawmakers want to create $5 million in new tax credits for TV and film directors and producers who work in New York — but only if they’re minorities or women.
Legislation introduced in both the Assembly and state Senate would require the state to set aside the funds from the existing $420 million Empire State Film Production Tax Credit.

We live in an alternative universe in which people with a certain complexion are given extras based upon someone calling them “minorities.” But Jews, who are definitely a teeny, at risk minority, are treated as though they don’t exist by the Left, Racism and extreme bias and reverse discrimination by the Left, no matter how one looks at it. Brainwashed to the point of being unhinged and out of touch with reality, Jews are absurdly at the vanguard of their own destruction.
If they are strong and independent and do what they do better than men, why the special government handout?
They love their hypocritical double standards. They don’t like equality because then they actually get a real taste of what men are treated like by society. So they cry and whine like little girls and papa and mama govt give them special privileges all the while touting how equal they are to men.
How long should it take a court to rule such a law unconstitutional? Sad reality is that this nonsense would have to go to the Supreme Court to nullified and then at best the vote would be 5-4.

And then there were all those Caucasian students born in South Africa, who immigrated with their families to the U.S. On their college application, they checked the box “African Americans,” which they are. The colleges that caught on did not blow the whistle, since they got credit for admitting African Americans and knew that these students would work hard and have a reasonably good preparation for college. Political correctness is insanity.
They’re taking 1.1% of the film tax credits and setting them aside for minority and women? With a cap of 50k per writer or director, and 150k per season?
What, does New York have some time machine or something where 49 out of 50 writers or directors are white males? If the intention was to increase diversity, wouldn’t it make more sense to make new funds available rather than simply parceling out existing funds?
One would have to imagine the job of a lobbyist in this situation is to get funds increased, not split up the pie more. I mean, this seems like about as total of a fail as possible for industry paid lobbyists; not only did they not increase funding, they likely cost more than the set asides generated in the first place to generate this paper ‘victory.’
Heck, if they had set aside 21 million of the funds, it’d at least encourage one episode out of a season to have a minority or female director or writer.
Pretty pathetic even by the double standards of liberals (who supposedly are against racial or sexual discrimination.)
The logic is simply short-sighted; they can tax white people to pay for everything for non-whites, but they can’t stop white people from fleeing. Even more disconcerting further down the road, white people are contracepting themselves into extinction. Who pays for and maintains everything then?
